Today we looked at different examples of ad campaigns to get ideas for our project. There were many ads that were appealing to me because they all gave a lot of helpful information. But in the end I chose a reckless driving campaign. This ad showed many different forms of media within their website and I got a lot of great ideas from it for my project. I liked the statistics they added at the bottom of each page and the background color is different from the rest of the site so it really catches your attention. I also liked their use of a video and then also a video of real stories. The regular video shows you the problems teens face everyday within a car and the real life video is an actual example you can relate to emotionally.

Today we wrote our proposal and assigned our "jobs" to everyone in the group. I will be in the commercial and helping to write and edit the script. We are creating a commercial and providing a video that supports out views on the H1N1 vaccine. We are against it and there are many supporting sources that we have available to us that we can use to help get our message across.

We looked at different public service announcements to find good ways to go about our project. We looked at different types of media that are available for us to use. We looked at youth reckless driving.

I really liked the statistics at the bottom of the website. It showed how real this issue is and how many people it truly affects each day, month, or year.

I also liked the real story videos. I realize this is almost impossible to do for our project, the harmful effects of the H1N1 vaccination, but it definitely allows your audience to see first hand what could happen to them.

The audience for our project is young adults and adults that have children. We're going to do a video to show people the dangerous side effects of the vaccine.

Ok so I have a LG xenon and lately it has not been acting like it should be. I've only had it since June and recently the screen keeps going black. People can call me, I just can't see anything, and it's a touch screen phone so it's kind of a necessity. My boyfriend suggested I mail it in but I don't know if they will send me a new one. It's extremely annoying to have to use a really old phone when mine goes wrong because I just got it and it should not be acting this badly. So any suggestions would be very beneficial. Thanks!

Texts From last night

After being addicted to the popular website, FML, a new website has caught my attention. It's called textsfromlastnight.com and I am beginning to like this website even more than the previous. It is much more vulgar than FML but it makes it even more funnier. Here are a few that I really enjoy and I tried to not make them TOO inappropriate but I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I do.

(720) Just took my ex's job. There should be an award for how many times I've managed to screw up this girl's life.

(516) Thank God they found Balloon Boy. I was afraid that Michael Jackson was ordering take out from heaven.

(124) Last night, my friend changed all the names of the contacts in my phone. I have been texted by Batman, Donatello, and Hermoine Granger. I have no idea who they are, and it doesn't upset me at all.

(413) I just saw a three year old try to break out of a daycare by driving a big wheel at full speed into a metal gate. Today is going to be epic.

(630) All I remember is you climbed into a garbage can and said you were trashed.

Now that Halloween is over, Thanksgiving seems to be right around the corner. While Thanksgiving is not my favorite holiday, I love the feeling of seeing all my family together in the same place at the same time. My family always goes to my grandma's house for dinner and of course football. I am definitely not by any means a prissy type of girls who doesn't enjoy or understand sports. Football is my favorite sport to watch and I also like to play catch so the annual football games on Thanksgiving are by the far the highlight of my holiday. So hopefully these next 3 weeks go by really fast so I can get that warm feeling of all that food in my stomach and lay back and relax to watch the games.
